To get support from Connect to Work, you must:

  • be 18 or older (or 16 if you get Universal Credit)
  • be allowed to live and work in the UK
  • live in Staffordshire
  • be able to get help from public services
  • not be on another job support programme
  • be ready to take part in Connect to Work want to work.
  • have a disability, a long-term health condition, or another support need that makes it harder for you to work

Some people may find it hard to find and keep work. Some examples of people we can support through Connect to Work are:

Someone who has been in prison

Someone who is a carer or used to be a carer

Someone who is homeless or has been homeless

Someone in the Armed Forces, who has been in the Armed Forces or the partner of someone who has

Someone who has had problems with drugs or alcohol

A young person who has been in care

A refugee

Someone from Ukraine or Afghanistan who has moved to the UK

A survivor of domestic abuse

A young person at risk of serious violence

A survivor of modern slavery

What if Connect to Work isn’t right for you?

If you are not eligible for support from the Connect to Work programme, there are other ways to get help to get into work.
