A Levels
Why A Levels?
You probably know which subjects you enjoy, and those subjects you are good at which may suggest A levels you may wish to take. Even when choosing subjects you are taking at GCSE it is a good idea to talk to teachers about how a subject may vary at A level compared to GCSE to make sure it still interests you. You will need to check the entry requirements including the GCSE grades required for the subject you are interested in.
A Levels are a good idea if you’re thinking of going to university.
Here are four of the most common reasons that people have chosen to study a particular subject at A Level:
- they need it for a career
- they need it for a university course
- it’s a subject they like and are good at
- it’s a subject they haven’t heard of before but think it will suit them.
What A Levels?
Remember that certain university courses will look for specific A Levels. Check out UCAS.
There’s no such thing as an easy A Level; they are harder than GCSEs. If you have researched and are interested the subject you have chosen you are more likely to do well.
